As part of the New East London Line Extension, Hoxton Station was constructed within the existing rail viaduct running from Dalston Junction to Shoreditch. The new station ticket hall was built into the arches beneath the viaduct. Pyramid Builders Ltd was able to use the experience of working on similar stations to undertake a complete refurbishment of the brickwork, sympathetically cleaning the façade and arch soffits and repairing damaged or missing brickwork.
Structural repairs to cracks were completed and remedial steps were taken to improve the drainage of rainwater passing through the viaduct brickwork. Blockwork walls were constructed to provide the new ticket office and administration areas. Pyramid Builders Ltd provided many trades including concreting, plastering, painting, plumbing and External works to provide the client with a multi-trade solution.
