The three storey building, designed by Stirling Prize winning architects Stanton Williams, will be located to the east of Granary Square, adjacent to the Regent’s Canal. When complete in 2015, the 9,200 sq ft space will become a brand new restaurant and bar.
The linear brick façade of the new structure is in keeping with the Granary Building and other nearby examples of Victorian era architecture. The Danish style bricks have been imported from Europe; Pyramid’s masonry experts are carefully installing these, having worked with the Architect and Client over the last 2 years developing the design of this feature building within the large Kings Cross redevelopment. Pyramid also provided design advice for the masonry support, introducing the Wi beam and Wi column.
